Game Design

  1. Health is your ammo
    1. used in a game jam project (Discharged) once. Still want to explore what to do with that
  2. Phantom Thief (persona 5 styled) Stealth Shooter
    1. Twin Stick shooter, or FPS
    2. Stealing amazing artifacts
    3. Noise is your currency
    4. Ammo is hyper-limited
    5. Shooting Guards is riskier than doing some crazy heist bullshit
    6. Kinda like the payday series, but stealth is more forgiving (only can fail stealth after getting the stolen item?), and going loud is a chase sequence rather than a fight (cannot out fight your opponent, bullets are better spent to affect the environment)
  3. Underwater structure maintenance sim
    1. You’re a robot maintaining the exterior of underwater living spaces. preventing power loss and breakage of walls/glass
    2. if you’re a person instead, oxygen meter (or ability to get cut off from source of oxygen) would be fun
    3. First person would be interesting as a way to manually make problems (closing air latches and stuff), but expensive dev-time wise
  4. Robots living a natural environment
    1. similar to the above, but more like bionicle in it’s setting. Being like a machine/synthetic villager
    2. Could be a kinda fun farming sim type scenario.
    3. more of a point and click adventure game look (Mata Nui Online Game) could be a fun reference
    4. low-fidelity 3d would be interesting, but takes a lot of effort
  5. Space Janitor sim
    1. this one is from memory of an idea me and some pals had once
    2. contain two SCP type insane sci-fi hazards (extradimeisinoal mold and electrical entity), until timer expires
    3. Traversal routes to maintain. The goal is to feel like you’re paying attention to multiple fire equivalents at once
  6. purple worm action RPG buddy
    1. toothed worm the size of a large dog is your buddy, run around aventuring with it
    2. effectitvely a dark souls npc companion that you have to command the attention of (hitting the ground with a special itemm to create tremors? idk)
  7. Robot Questing game
    1. Cosmic Break’s controls but small group co-op
    2. goal is to…
      1. defend something horde shooter style
      2. explore a dungeon
      3. fight an honorable duel
    3. Customization of your robot is the core of the fun (skin painting + upgrading your appearance + parts, since the robot parts are all swappable)
